Uncle Pitts

My Uncle Pitts. An Italian from Pittsburgh. Who has a name like that anymore? Who delights in their children to this degree anymore? A full kiss on the lips, holding his son’s little head, the babes hands coming up in response? I loved when this man greeted me. My baby daughter fell in love with him at first glance, “I want that man to kiss me right here,” she said, pointing at her forehead. Most of my favorite uncles are gone now, and boy do I miss them.
